Paris, Paris, Paris.
While I say London is the best place for Christmas, then the second best – needless to say – will for sure be Paris. Minus degrees, glittering Eiffel Tower, christmas décor, Disneyland, what else can you ask for? Quite shameful though, as you can see from my pictures below, weather had been extremely gloomy the whole time I was there. But I mean, it’s Paris, so we are still good. Plus it was in fact our first time going to Paris as a family – how exciting. My parents were there almost 30 years ago for their pre-wedding trip and now they are back, telling us their stories in the 1990-Paris.
Paris was so cold, so so cold. I thought, well since I came from London then I could conquer all these cold weather. But nope, as soon as I got off the train, I know I am wrong. It was way colder than I thought. Bear with me if you see me in the same coat because what I did was putting on whatever I found in my hand-carry luggage.
Hi Mona! at Louvre
Before I start, I have to say Louvre is massive. Divided into multiple sessions according to the period and location, you can probably spend an entire day there. Meanwhile we, just like everyone else in Louvre, tried to look for the 3 most famous pieces of the world.
You should have known by now how much I love going to the Disneyland! From Hong Kong to Japan to Shanghai, and now finally here I am in the Paris Disneyland. Can you tell which character I am trying to dress like? Someone related to an apple?
On a clear day, you are supposed to be able to see the Iron Lady from a distance. That just was not our day unfortunately. But walking into this shooting scene from the Inception movie did feel quite surreal.
Strolling through Champs Elysees
I have always found strolling through a city the best way to explore it. And Paris, from the Parisian balcony to the rocky footpath, everything’s just so elegant, so classy.
To be honest, I never find Paris romantic. For me, what makes Paris so attractive is the effortless chicness and elegance that is fused in every detail of the city. Even though I’ve been to Paris a lot of times now, I just still really like it. So I guess I am not fed up with you yet.
Bonjour Paris! See you next time.
