Whoof, summer you so early this year.

It's late July, but I mean, hey!, it's really sunny and hot every day.  Summer's definitely early this year.  Summer, summer, summer.  What's better than a cup of ice coffee with some jazz music, with three of your main girls together talking about clothes, make up, shopping and boys, you tell me.  Oh right, and remember to order my fries because there's no proper tea time without fries.  Plus I love them hot.

While you are struggling where to go for the coming weekend, here's 3 cafés you might wanna visit.  Call your besties now.

 # Coffee by Zion (feat Cty)

When the weather is good, it's always a good idea to spend some time around Kennedy Town.  There will always be one new café you have never been to.  That’s how many new cafes there are around that area.  It's also good because it's less crowded during the weekend.
Coffee by Zion has a white wall, some wooden blocks, coffee mugs – everything for an instagrammable picture.  Try to get that outdoor sit for that shot if you are lucky enough.  Food is so-so and (sorry!) not something I would remember afterwards.

Address: Shop 1, G/F, 83 First Street, Sai Ying Pun, Western District 西環西營盤第一街83號地下1號舖

Coffee Academics

Coffee Academics definitely has the best food out of the three.  It has a wide range of food from savoury to desserts, meat, salad, everything, even coffee, tea and alcohol.  It's more like a restaurant than a café I would say but it's really good.  It's also quite spacious with the right cosy vibes.
Coffee is quite good.  Plus it's the only one here that fulfils the "Fries plus Coffee" rule.

Address: Shop 108, 1/F, The Pulse, 26-30 Beach Road, Repulse Bay 淺水灣海灘道26-30號The Pulse 1樓108號舖

Coffee Central by Coffee Exchange

I am pretty sure the first thing you say when you get there will be "how can I never find this place even though I have walked past a million times?"  That's true.  This secretive café is located right beneath the heart of Central and when I say heart, I mean heart heart, facing Des Voeux Road Central.  This place is so spacious, tables are away from each other while the kitchen / coffee bar island is in the centre.  I mean how good it is when I just want to find a place to sit in the most crowded part of Hong Kong (ah with good aircon and good wifi).
Coffee Central is a Korean-style café.  It's also the place among the 3 with the most special drinks and food.  Before you leave, why not doggy bag their lamington home?

By now you probably would have realised that all the café for this post starts with "Coffee".  I promise it's coincidence, but hmm maybe that's the trend now?  It's right though since apart from fries, coffee – or caffeine to be accurate – is the most essential thing of a café.  It's like the soul of a GOOD cafe.  It doesn’t have to be fancy, doesn’t have to have many food options.  Just get the coffee right.  I have to be completely honest that I am still looking for some legit coffee in Hong Kong, so leave a comment below about the best coffee in town so that I can try it out!

Love xx
