Here comes another Autumn season, Postman. The fourth Autumn, yeh, the fourth. I nearly couldn’t believe how time has flown this year, that we are now so close to the end of 2018. I nearly couldn’t recall what has happened over the year. Almost every November in the past, I will be packing and getting ready to fly home. But this year, it’s quite the opposite, because my family will be flying over to celebrate the first Christmas together in London. A proper white and cold Christmas, how exciting!
Before we properly enter the countdown month to Christmas, we should also properly dress up for November. For me, nothing’s more appropriate than wearing all shades of earth tone during this month of the year. I was once called Miss Oatmeal by different people because of the colour tone I always wear / choose. I almost don’t realise every time I pick up something in a shop, it will be of some shade of oatmeal colour - white, nude, beige, brown. Almost 90% white actually - the “bakshutshut” colour. And it’s true, I love whites and browns.
(I think it makes a girl look very feminine and soft.)
# Beige Long Cardi
For me, if I can only choose one must-have autumnal item in the oatmeal colour, it will definitely be a long cardigan. It makes one’s autumnal closet complete. It immediately makes me look as if I have spent some time to dress up when in fact, I rush out my door.
Plus, forgive my PMS tummy if you haven’t noticed already. I mean thanks so much for this cardigan, for hiding my tummy so well after I tie it up together.
# Brown Shirt
I am sure you have seen this shirt multiple times on DearPostman now. Even if it is not the same shirt, it will be something of a similar cut or similar colour. That’s how much I love this shirt / this type of shirt.
If you already have a beige cardigan, then I would say, now it’s time for a earth-tone shirt. A brown item will no doubt immediately add a pinch of Autumn to your overall look.
# Beige Set
I love co-ords sets. You can wear them together, separately, creating as many styles as you wish. Just like this set, you can create so many looks just with that two pieces. Not only are they very easy to style, the texture is also super comfy and super soft, just like another layer of skin on you.
And that belt, who doesn’t like something like this to hide the tummy after a big lunch?
One good thing about earth tone is that, because they are so clean and lowkey, you can top it up with all different colours to create a more colourful youth look.
Quite the opposite from my summer style, where I will throw all kinds of vibrant and bright colours on, my autumnal / winter style is all about looking comfy and warm. For this time of the year, I always like to take a step back and change to something soft and natural.
Stay warm, lovelies, and let’s countdown for the fourth Christmas with DearPostman!
