It’s been an absolutely hectic 2-weeks at work and, of course, far from anything glamorous like “Suits”.  That’s also the reason why I didn’t do a post last week.  But, but, but, (thanks, God!) it’s finally weekend!  Feeling very grateful for finally having some alone time to deal with some admin stuff, think, shop and write.

Coming to fashion, people often ask me if I have tips! for my fashionology.  I wouldn’t say they are tips, but more specifically, formula and theory.  Formula and theory that I rely on most of the time when I come up with my outfits.  So I have decided to do a new series of DP Fashionology - a collection of my styling formula or theory.

Here you are my first formula - Shoes + Bag Colour Formula!  Literally as it is, my first formula is to glam your outfit up with shoes and bag of the same colour.  The same shade, if possible.  Not only does this way keep the colours clean, it makes sure there is only one focus in the overall look.

I am very kindly gifted these 3 rompers from Tobi at http://www.tobi.com/ca (UK site: http://www.tobi.com/gb) (Check this out!)  All very comfy, very pretty, very flattering.  The question is how to make them even more stand-out.  Now of course, the DP formula!

1. White with Burgundy

Let’s kick off with this white lace romper.  I love to play with colours and texture.  Before you are a romper of white lace, a box bag of burgundy velvet and sandals of burgundy suede.  What about putting them all together, mixing them up and creating the most girly look.  What do you think?  Don’t you love the white and burgundy together?

2. Red with Black

I could not.  I could not take this velvet romper off because I just love it so much.  It. is. so. pretty.  The pattern is lovely, the cut is very flattering.  The texture and colour are what sold me.  For a romper like this, I’d keep it the focus by keeping the other items simple and clean.  Therefore, I style my long blazer and long boots all in black.  Don’t forget to add a black choker to add a pinch of bad-ass too.

3. Blue with Orange

I have always thought orange and blue is the best combo and I love styling my blue basics with my favourite orange mules.  Ah, just in case if you don’t have a orange bag like me, it’s always easy to get a book with that coloured-cover.  It will just do the same job for you.
