Oh My Dear Miss Diet,
I am truly sorry. I am afraid Mr Calories has become too irresistable these days and I have no choice but to give in. He has been threatening me with perfectly iced cupcakes, pastel macarons, freshly baked scones with jam and cream and undercover cakepops and many many others. It has to be another cheat day. But I promise, I will come back to you very soon, I promise.
Here come another afternoon tea of the day. If you know me well enough, I am the kinda person who can only live on junks or sweets. Desserts/snacks over mains. That is very very unhealthy I have to say. BUT, I am working on that, trying to eat healthier (Z is very annoyed by my eating habits).
So this pretty afternoon tea set from Tiffin in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. I was initially very much attracted by the delicate twirl setting which was different from the traditional cages. Surprisingly, not only does the setting looks elegant, the food is equally good. They have a variety of, and a good balance between, savoury and sweets. Especially love their strawberry and cream.
By the way, one special thing about Tiffin tea set is that it does come with their icecream buffet. If you are adventurous and brave, go try their exotic icecreams. They have weird combos (and weird names too) like Be a Man (smoky chocolate icecream with stout beer candied bacon) or Iced Summer Lobster (coconut & lobster bisque icecream). The taste is weird too... But, don’t worry, ladies, they have normal flavours too. You can add as much toppings as you think fit.
Always love spending afternoon tea time with this caring friend of mine. Stop worrying about calories, my dear. You look great.
One of my most favourite things to do. Officially recruiting for my afternoon tea crew! Anyone?
