  1. Tie 3 ponytails vertically lined.

  2. Flip in the top one (as above in Level 1).

  3. Flip in the middle one, and put in the tail for the top flip into the middle hole.

Level 3: Fishtail braid

This definitely takes a bit of practice to grab hold of all the hair coming in, out, across and so.  But once you manage to feel your fingers, the braid just follows along perfectly.

  1. Take a strand of hair from the top part (where you want your braid to start), divide into two strands, and do 3 fishtail crossovers.

  2. Add in an extra strand of hair from each side when you do your fourth crossover.

  3. Continue to do 3 crossovers.

  4. Add in an extra strand of hair from each side when you do your seventh crossover.
*This time, pick hair near to your ears (these will be the last strands you add into your braid).

  5. Continue your fishtail all the way down as much as you like it to be.

Level 4: Top Messy bun

Prolly the hair updo mostly asked.  (Even tho I call it level 4, it is actually very simple.) Perfect for any occasions if you are going for a cleaner look, but at the same time not too formal.

*It doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s a messy bun, isn’t it?  The key is: messy.

  1. Grab a ponytail up and high (I normally make it up near my crown).  Don’t tie it up yet!

  2. Tie it casually into a half open bun and feel free to leave out some ends.
*Make sure it is tight enough at this stage!

  3. Adjust and twist the “ball” until it becomes a tidier bun you are going for.  This time, tie it up properly and hide all the ends into it.

  4. If you have any ends left, use a few bobby pins to pin them down along your rubberbands.

  5. (More enhanced) Use the remaining ends to wrap around the rubberband to hide it away.

Tie a ponytail into a half-open ball.

Adjust and twist until it forms a proper bun.  Tie it with another rubberband to hold it tight.

I will suggest using a thinner rubberband for the first 3 hairstyles for a more delicate look.  But for more clarity, I will show you with a thick rubberband.  As for the last updo, you will probably need 2 thick and tight rubberbands to hold your ponytail tightly up and high.

I have naturally straight hair.  For most of the times, I curl my hair so that the hairstyle holds better and looks like it has more volume.
May do a curling tutorial later if you guys’d like to read it!
