Talking about Taipei, it’s either food, or food, or FOOD, or maybe some shopping or partying. So as you all know, I have gone to Taipei for a good 7 days and - apparently - have eaten a lot. I have a very small stomach. I may not eat a lot but I get hungry really quickly. I am the kinda animal girlfriends that get totally tamed after I get fed.
Oooh yeah, back to the Fash part again - Denim in a Week Part 2! I am not gonna talk more about denim because I probably have talked too much already. But like, DENIM, how can one live without denim? They are simply so fashionable, so easy to handle, so basic.
As a blogger, you may think I own a lot of fancy items. I do. But if you ask what's the most essential element in my closet - DENIM for sure, without hesitation. Scroll down to find out how DENIM fascinates me so much. Here you go Denim in a Week: 2!
Being alone does not mean that you are lonely. Likewise, you don't have to be alone to feel lonely. It's a state of mind. After years of denial of being alone, I have started to enjoy the alone time, the private thinking time. Living in a city with such fast pace, Instagramming now, and whatsapping the next second, then someone sent you that snapchat you have to screenshoot it, there's no way you are truly reflecting on yourself. Being a blogger, you might think I am a person living in social medias. But quite the opposite, I really enjoy my time without data or wifi, just me and the music - a ME time.
So the following are 3 quiet and private cafes for ME times. Enjoy.
Coming to the fash part, this is a blogpost I have always always always wanted to talk about - DENIM! D-E-N-I-M! I loveeee denim. Simply because it’s easy to style, it can do numerous variations with the textile, so effortless, so casual, blahblahblah. I was tidying my wardrobe that day and there were two big piles of denim items, that’s how much I love denim. Denim’s not a love anymore, but necessity.
So here’s 6 denim looks (divided into 2 parts) that I adore recently!
Coming to our 3rd volume of the #FollowDearPostmanTo CAFEs (HK), I have to admit - with all my heart - that food posts are my favourite kind of blog posts to do. Simply because I can eat while I shoot. But the bad side is that I have to resist from aggressively swallowing everything down.
Without further ado, as craving as I am, the following are 3 restaurants I visited and felt so hard to resist from eating. And yeh, I was waiting desperately behind the camera.
If you are someone who struggles for an outfit perfect for both day and night, or that you are not sure how to mix and match with one signature item, the new Am:Pm series will be perfect for you. Or to be more accurately, this is something I have been looking for. I live far away from the city centre. And that's why I always need an outfit I can wear for daytime office work and afterwork party life.
Without further ado, let's get started with Metallic Pleated Skirt!
Metallic items have been on the trend for a while now. But the thing about metallic items is that you don't need many of them, or you don't wanna get many of them and end up chucking them away because they are out of trend the next season. So here's the day and night styling of the same pleated skirt!
My hair is long, super long (I literally just measured it and it’s 77cm (approx. 30 inches)). I am 160cm so my hair is like half of me. And like every other girl, I dyed it, I bleached it, curled it, permed it, straightened it – every possible damage, you name it. I had even got wax strips on my hair while me and my classmates were messing up some truth or dare during class, which ended up cutting a damn bunch of hair. Yet, I am lucky enough to inherit strong hair from my mum. But somehow the genes are not enough to sustain so much damage that it started to get serious dead ends and lose the natural shine.
So if you wonder how I regain the shine and health of my hair, that's the haircare routine I do, daily. Yes, daily. Hair is not something you can change in a click, it requires time and accumulation of efforts, so much efforts.
Cracks did not just appear from nowhere, there are always two sides to it.
Guys resist temptations while girls embrace loneliness, they say.
But before that, ask yourself,
whether you have kept yourself lovable and attractive enough that no one can replace you.
Or whether you have spent enough time with her, loved her and cared for her.
Hold on and never run away. Go back to where it all begins.
It’s been a while I talked about my thoughts. There are a few reasons for that. The biggest reason among all is that I haven’t let myself think. I am someone who needs private time, a lot of private time - a lot of private time to think, reflect and move on. One of my favourite quotes, which I think apply to everyone is that,
Along the things and events you experience every day you accumulate memories, some good and some bad. Slowly your bag of memories gets heavier and heavier every day, until one day it starts to drag you and make it difficult to move forward. By this time, you should clear up your bag. Leave things behind, especially things you have been blindly insisting, and move on. Only after you start to let go will you be able to move far and move quick.
There are always days you can’t be bother to think what to wear, or you’ve been thinking the night before but still have no idea what to wear. I guess that’s how the pyjamas pants trend comes by. So that’s the deal - simply pair your pyjama pants with some formal or daily items and you are good to go. But of course, that’s only when you actually wear pyjama pants.
Before I start rambling how rush I usually am, here’s my 3 outfits I’d rush out of my door with the same pyjama pants!
